Early Childhood Educator Position

Join our reputable organization as an Early Childhood Educator, working in a nurturing environment that prioritizes child development and educator wellbeing.

This role involves more than supervision — you'll actively contribute to children's developmental milestones and foster their curiosity through engaging, age-appropriate experiences. Our client is a well-established early learning provider committed to nurturing children's growth through play-based learning and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities & Skills
  • Program Design & Delivery:
  • • Develop and implement stimulating educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • • Facilitate intentional teaching moments through play-based activities including storytelling, music, art, and sensory exploration
  • • Observe and document children's progress to support individual learning goals and share insights with families
  • • Guide social-emotional development by modelling positive behaviour and conflict resolution strategies
  • Daily Care & Support:
  • • Maintain high hygiene standards, including nappy changing, toileting assistance, and mealtime supervision
  • • Create predictable routines that provide children with emotional security while allowing flexibility for spontaneous learning
  • • Conduct safety checks of indoor and outdoor environments and resources before activities
  • • Administer first aid when required and follow health management plans for children with additional needs
  • Family & Community Engagement:
  • • Build trusting relationships with families through daily conversations and formal progress updates
  • • Collaborate with room leaders to create displays that showcase children's learning to parents
  • • Participate in community events and centre initiatives to strengthen family connections
  • Compliance & Professionalism:
  • • Maintain current working with children check, first aid certification, and relevant qualifications
  • • Contribute to quality improvement through reflective practice
  • • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions
Requirements & Benefits
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Minimum 1-year experience in long day care or similar setting
  • Knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standards
  • Passion for early childhood development, with patience and creativity
  • Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates, and vaccination proof
  • Working with Children rights
  • Police check
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with children, colleagues, and families
  • References from previous employers
