Job Role Overview

The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support (CPBS) is a globally recognised leader in accessible, person-centred behaviour support.

Our team delivers effective programs that promote learning and growth for both NDIS participants and self-funded clients.

About The Position

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes, assisting with the implementation of plans and supervision of other practitioners.

The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships to make positive changes in people's lives
  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
  • Conduct Functional Behavioural Assessments and develop Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
  • Support and train colleagues, caregivers and support workers on clinical techniques
  • Collaborate with professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement client goals and checklists
  • Document reports and adhere to legislative requirements
  • Complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support

What We Require

  • A bachelor's degree and/or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
  • Hold or can obtain an NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check
  • Proven experience as either a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Therapist
  • Ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner using high-level verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Hold a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
