Role Overview

This role plays a vital part in our mission to reduce litter in the environment and contribute to Vinnies good works.

You will work on a casual basis as a Machine Operator in Maitland, operating fast-paced recycling equipment to help collect, sort, and dispose of recyclable drink containers.

Your Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers
  • Use a forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers
  • Operate a point of sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions
  • Assist with other activities such as housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting faulty equipment needing repair, etc.
