Your Role

We are looking for new warehouse team members to work as Machine Operators on a casual basis in Maitland. You will be required to operate fast paced recycling equipment helping in collecting, sorting, and disposing of recyclable drink containers. This role requires the ability to operate a semi-automated sorting machine, ability to trouble shoot, engage with customers and complete throughput within a fast-paced environment.

On the job training in using specialised equipment will be provided. Your great customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members are important to this role. A current Forklift Licence is Desirable (Counter Balance). Experience or knowledge of working within a factory environment is also desirable or someone who is willing to work on their feet for a set period of time.

Your Responsibility
  • Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers
  • Use forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers
  • Operate point of sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions
  • Assist in other activities i.e. housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting faulty equipment needing repair, etc.
You Will Need
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service
  • Experience in using forklifts and a current valid Forklift Licence
  • Experience working within a warehouse and/or production environment
  • Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently
  • Thorough understanding of work, health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment
