Essential Cleaner Role

About the Job: This role involves ensuring that designated work sites or areas remain clean, safe and organized. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintenance tasks to support efficient and safe site operation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning Tasks: Drive to designated sites, clean and sanitize as required. Remove debris, trash, hazardous materials, sweep, mop and clean/disinfect surfaces/equipment.
  • Waste Management: Dispose of waste/recycling in compliance with local regulations. Empty/maintain trash receptacles/recycling bins.
  • Outdoor Cleaning (if applicable): Maintain outdoor areas, walkways and equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols/guidelines for a safe environment. Report safety hazards/concerns to supervisors.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect/maintain cleaning equipment/tools/supplies. Report malfunctions/damage for repairs/replacements.
  • Inventory Management: Track cleaning supplies. Request replenishments as needed. Maintain an organized inventory of materials.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Record cleaning activities/inspections/maintenance tasks. Document incidents/issues on-site/report to management.
  • Environmental Awareness: Properly dispose of hazardous materials/chemicals. Promote eco-friendly cleaning practices/waste reduction.

Requirements and Qualifications: Previous cleaning/maintenance experience is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques/materials/equipment is essential. Ability to work independently/follow instructions is required. Physical fitness/lift/heavy objects if required. Strong attention to detail/commitment to cleanliness/safety is necessary. A valid recent police check and ABN are mandatory.
