We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Operations expert to join our team. As a member of our operations department, you will be responsible for the real-time monitoring and control of power systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient energy delivery.
About The RoleThis is a permanent position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a shift team that operates on a 24/7 basis, ensuring the power system remains in a secure and reliable state.
Responsibilities- Perform real-time generation dispatch and power system security functions in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Monitor and analyze power system performance to identify issues and take corrective action as needed.
- Provide advice and recommendations to management on day-to-day matters and collaborate with colleagues to build a strong and effective team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree or diploma qualifications in electrical engineering (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in power systems in a real-time or planning environment.
- Knowledge of major interconnected electricity system components and their vulnerabilities.
- Excellent interpretative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make timely decisions based on analysis, wisdom, and practical judgment.
