Job Description

About The Role

This is a permanent position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a shift team that operates on a 24/7 basis, ensuring the power system remains in a secure and reliable state.

Responsibilities
  • Perform real-time generation dispatch and power system security functions in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • Monitor and analyze power system performance to identify issues and take corrective action as needed.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to management on day-to-day matters and collaborate with colleagues to build a strong and effective team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree or diploma qualifications in electrical engineering (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in power systems in a real-time or planning environment.
  • Knowledge of major interconnected electricity system components and their vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent interpretative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make timely decisions based on analysis, wisdom, and practical judgment.
