
Patient Care Coordinator

An Administration Officer is required to join our Emergency team on a casual basis.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in a supportive team to ensure patients have a positive experience during their care.
Key responsibilities include greeting all customers, handling enquiries in a friendly and professional manner, managing the busy Emergency Department reception desk, answering and redirecting calls, preparing admission paperwork, performing Health Fund Checks as required, working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating the collection of Emergency Department deposits, health fund excess/co-payments and out-of-pocket fees, and coordinating with staff from other departments.
Essential Criteria- Experience in an acute patient-focused healthcare facility/hospital
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts – 7-day rotating rosters
