Program Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage programs, including existing projects, and provide strategic advice to senior executives and ministers.
Main Responsibilities- Program management, encompassing budgeting, governance, and administrative functions
- Strategic guidance on future changes and enhancements to programs
- Liaising with stakeholders, including ministers, state, territory, and local governments, as well as the public and other interested organizations
- Supervising and mentoring a team to achieve business deliverables
- Leadership skills, including creating and sustaining a positive, professional culture
- Ability to manage workload effectively to achieve results in tight timeframes and competing priorities
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience managing strategic processes, including coordination and attention to detail
The department is responsible for delivering key infrastructure projects that benefit all Australians. We work in partnership with state, territory, and local governments to achieve seamless delivery of our vast program of work.
The Targeted Infrastructure Programs Branch drives and supports legislation, provides national leadership and coordination to improve road safety outcomes, and oversees key road and community infrastructure programs.
