- 253976Our Federal Government Client is seeking for a Program Specialist and will be responsible for leading a team of project managers, business analysts, Department's technical personnel and program support officials to successfully deliver the Department's Futures Program aimed at delivering transformational change across the Department.
- Leading organisational change programs.
- Monitor program performance and drive awareness of opportunities to expand successes or improve offerings.
- Manage the program's governance and assurance processes.
- Facilitate decisions required to progress the program and inform the Executive Director & Program Board of any deviations from approved plans and scope.
- Provide feedback to the Program Board, Executive and senior management team recommending program improvements and highlighting best practices.
- Monitor program governance and assurance processes, identify and manage risks and resolve issues.
- Contribute specialist expertise to develop organisational capability and realise the benefits of the program.
- Engage and engender support for the target state among both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Assume responsibility for the program risk management planning, risk identification, risk quantitative and qualitative analysis, response planning, monitoring, and control activities.
- Introduce program deliverables to relevant stakeholders and monitor adoption of changed practices/systems.
- Lead the organisational change including clear and consistent communication, active engagement practices and celebrating and advertising success.
- Take responsibility for the overall program's deliverables, resolving issues, management of assets, budget and resources, quality assurance and initiating corrective actions where necessary.
- Lead and motivate program contributors.
- Commit to the Department's Code of Conduct and Values

**To be successful in this role, you should have**:

- Highly experienced in the successful delivery of enterprise wide, complex business, IT and change programs, with an emphasis on delivering successful business outcomes.
- Proven track record in program management, delivery and benefits realisation skills, preferably across multiple projects within a large program of work
- Extensive experience as a senior executive in a Commonwealth or State government agency leading transformational change.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders to influence cultural change across large organisations and/or government departments.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and organisational and interpersonal skills
- Highly developed written and interpersonal skills including presenting to a variety of different audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development of, or improvements to, business processes and/or systems within legislative frameworks during organisational change.
- Knowledge of government procurement and supplier management
- Strong conceptual thinking and analytical skills
- Relevant tertiary and project management qualifications
- Demonstrated success working in a tight-knit agile project team engaged in providing data capabilities and services to technical and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, managing, and executing ICT/Data projects using agile methodology, and/or demonstrated ability to develop business cases for ICT/Data projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships and translate business requirements to technology solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver business solutions within agreed time, cost, and quality expectations.
