Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Outreach Program Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with management and staff to manage and coordinate the region's Outreach Program. Key responsibilities include coordinating and participating in the selection, orientation, and resourcing of suitably qualified and experienced outreach counsellors.

This role also involves facilitating the delivery of high-quality clinical outreach services for eligible clients in rural and outer metropolitan areas, as well as ensuring staff with outreach area coordination and/or administrative responsibilities are informed of national and region policy and procedure updates.

A further key responsibility is developing, maintaining, and managing a database of Open Arms contracted counsellors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and participate in the selection, orientation, and resourcing of outreach counsellors
  • Facilitate the delivery of high-quality clinical outreach services
  • Maintain and update databases of contracted counsellors
  • Ensure compliance with national and regional policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in providing evidence-based clinical interventions that promote mental health recovery
  • Passion for learning about the issues faced by military veterans and their families
  • Mental Health Social Worker qualification or equivalent registration
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • NNSW Drivers License eligibility and Working with Children Check
