Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Civil Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in the planning and delivery of road infrastructure projects through the administration of contracts and provision of technical expertise.

The successful candidate will possess strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate operational activities and resources associated with project management and process development. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with local government and service authorities to develop appropriate solutions to issues within the road network.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the selection of the most suitable contract process for project delivery and administering the contract to ensure compliance and successful delivery;
  • Working closely with senior engineering staff to deliver Road Maintenance Performance Contracts within Districts, ensuring time, cost, safety and quality requirements are achieved;
  • Determining appropriate bridge and road maintenance procedures, work instructions and managing road and bridge maintenance tasks;
  • Calculating quantities of component materials, analysing test results for materials, identifying non-conformances, determining controls needed during construction and conducting risk assessments;
  • Managing under supervision, projects or elements of projects and providing support and advice on the planning and design process to ensure delivery of project outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved;
