Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, manage, and enhance Telco's CRM Oracle Database
  • Handle Billing & CRM Databases
  • Experience with Oracle Database upgrades
  • Strong practical experience of Oracle 19C and above versions
  • Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump)
  • Proactively manage and maintain security standards and controls
  • Understand PM2, SQL Tuning Advisor, SQL Plan Management, and Oracle Performance Analyzer
  • Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the DB. Optimize database performance, such as tuning SQL queries, indexes, memory, storage, and network
  • Execute data migration jobs and scripts as required
  • Assist infrastructure team in sizing hardware used for the DB and contribute in cost optimization
  • Support and collaborate with application developers
  • Contribute to disaster recovery plans creation and maintenance
  • Create reliable backup strategy. Execute database backups and periodic restorations to ensure backup quality
  • Determine and document DB policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform performance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity. Identify bottlenecks and deadlock issues
  • Actively seek to optimize and simplify architecture
  • Ensure SLA's & operational KPI's are met, working with internal and external support functions during major incidents
