Senior Oracle Database Administrator

A job opening exists for a seasoned professional to oversee the administration of enterprise-scale Oracle databases. This role spans cloud and on-premises infrastructure, necessitating a high level of technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Oracle database software and related products will be installed, configured, and maintained by this individual.
- Database performance monitoring and tuning will be undertaken to ensure optimal operation.
- High availability and disaster recovery solutions such as Oracle RAC and Data Guard will be designed and implemented.
- Documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures will be developed and maintained.
- Organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements must be complied with.
This position entails core DBA tasks, driving DevOps and automation initiatives, and supporting cloud migration projects. It offers ownership of database operations, implementation of best practices, and collaboration to deliver secure, efficient infrastructure.
Requirements- 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration (on-prem & cloud — Oracle Cloud or AWS RDS) is mandatory.
- A strong understanding of database security, performance tuning, and optimization techniques is required.
- The applicant must be an Australian Citizen with active NV1 Security Clearance.
