Project Lead

The primary objective of this role is to achieve optimal production and cost outcomes across all projects within the Telstra portfolio.

This involves managing subcontractors in a healthy and safe working environment, ensuring delivery of work meets commercial expectations.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Achieving project delivery key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ongoing oversight of production performance against schedules
  • Contributing to financial performance through appropriate business acumen and decision making
  • Monitoring performance and quality, taking corrective action as needed
  • Assessing activities to balance cost and production, meeting objectives and time constraints
  • Coordinating project work, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations
  • Monitoring subcontractors and workforce's performance to meet project plans and milestones within budget
  • Reporting daily site events on a timely basis
  • Ensuring staff including sub-contractors are trained in emergency procedures, safety standards and equipment operation by inductions, legislation and safe operating practices

To succeed in this role, you will have minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position, ideally with an engineering background.

You should possess:

  • Previous maintenance or construction experience ideally in the telecommunications industry
  • A sound understanding of operations and maintenance environments in telecommunications or technical services
  • Compliance knowledge for buildings
  • Experience in engaging and influencing stakeholders at various decision-making levels
