Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Labourer to join our Urban Works Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who value ongoing development and upskilling. As the most multi-skilled employees of the organisation, you will be responsible for performing general duties relevant to operations, including laying pipes and other related stormwater infrastructure, maintaining/operating plant and equipment, producing concrete structures, controlling traffic, performing roadworks and acting in higher grade roles throughout the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Laying pipes and other related stormwater infrastructure
  • Maintaining/operating plant and equipment
  • Producing concrete structures (e.g. footpaths, drives, retaining walls)
  • Controlling traffic - including completing set-up procedures as per Traffic Control Plans, maintaining traffic flow and reporting traffic problems
  • Performing roadworks - set-up, construct and maintain roads
  • Acting in higher grade roles throughout the team

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Class C Driver's Licence
  • Previous Labouring Experience
  • A WH&S Induction for Construction Work (Whitecard)
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of honesty and integrity
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of WHS
