The Role

We are seeking an experienced Workplace Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our return to work program, you will be responsible for implementing early intervention measures, coordinating activities to support worker recovery at work, and working closely with employers to identify suitable duties and form a plan to support a graded return to work plan.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Early Intervention Measures: Develop and implement strategies to support workers as they recover at work, ensuring timely and sustainable returns to employment.
  • Worker Recovery Support: Coordinate activities to support worker recovery at work, including identifying suitable duties and developing a graded return to work plan.
  • Employer Liaison: Work closely with employers to ensure compliance with workers compensation legislation and develop strategies to support successful return to work outcomes.
  • Rehabilitation Provider Engagement: Engage with rehabilitation providers to facilitate optimal return to work outcomes.
  • Case Conferences: Attend case conferences to drive claim strategy and develop strategies to facilitate optimal return to work outcomes.
  • Policy and System Improvements: Contribute to policy and system improvements to enhance the overall return to work program.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

A minimum of six months experience in work rehabilitation or return to work, or one to two years' experience desirable.Knowledge of workers compensation legislation and regulation highly desirable but not mandatory.Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proactive and results-driven approach.

Salary: AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum

Location: Melbourne
