Seal experts are sought after by a leading global provider of flow control technologies to join their team.

The company offers a wide range of solutions including mechanical seals, systems, couplings, bearings and filtration products. They also offer advanced digital monitoring tools.

A Mechanical Fitter is needed to work closely with customers across the globe to improve operational safety, reduce downtime and enhance efficiency while adhering to environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out thorough evaluations of seal configurations and prepare documentation on behalf of the business.
  • Disassemble, examine and reassemble dry gas seals and seal cartridges following technical drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare components and complete necessary paperwork for seal refurbishment.
  • Receive and inspect all incoming dry gas seal components from storage and external suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control checks performed on dry gas seals.
  • Oversee the refurbishment process including disassembly and placement of dry gas seals into testing equipment or jigs.
  • Operate and ensure proper upkeep of machinery used for lapping, polishing, grooving, de-burring, spin testing, surface profiling and balancing.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship or permanent resident visa.
  • Effective task management, organisation and prioritisation in high-pressure situations.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least three years of experience in a technical support or service role within mechanical engineering or a related industry.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
