Job Overview:

The Defence Division at Service Stream is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to support our PAS contract.

This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in South Australia.

Job Description
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for SEG staff, ensuring timely and accurate incident notifications and maintaining strong communication channels.
  • Providing direction and oversight for all operational activities across multiple bases, ensuring alignment with the state/region-wide defence contract objectives.
  • Conducting regional financial reviews to monitor budgets, expenditures, and financial performance, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Overseeing regular performance reviews to assess operational efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Ensuring all operational activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and safety standards.
  • Providing leadership, support, and development opportunities to the regional operations team to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support operational goals and objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field, along with relevant certifications in leadership or project management (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP).

They will also possess extensive experience in operations management, preferably within the defence sector or a similar field, and a proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-site operations.

Experience in liaising with government agencies and stakeholders is also desirable. A valid driver's licence is required.
