The Northern Sydney Child Protection Counselling Service provides an integrated tertiary response to individuals affected by child protection.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a highly skilled and experienced multidisciplinary team providing therapeutic services to children, young people and their carers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist case management and therapeutic services to individuals who have experienced physical abuse, emotional abuse, domestic violence or neglect.
- Conduct professional consultations and training for professionals and communities on systems advocacy, community engagement, education and prevention.
- Demonstrate behaviours that align with the CORE Values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and experience as per clinical discipline, with full AHPRA registration or eligibility for AASW membership.
- Display a comprehensive understanding of complex trauma dynamics and best practice models for working with individuals who have experienced abuse and/or trauma.
- Be willing to participate in the 24 hour On Call Service, hold a current unrestricted NSW Driver's License and be able to provide services at different locations within NSLHD.
