Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to collaborate with claims teams and case managers to develop effective injury management strategies, promoting early recovery and sustainable return to work for injured employees.

About The Position
  • Work closely with claims operations and treatment providers to design and implement structured injury management practices that reduce costs and impact.
  • Provide expert guidance to support case managers and employers in managing physical, psychological, and hybrid work injuries.
  • Establish and maintain provider management strategies and relationships to drive positive return to work outcomes.
  • Support the development and implementation of return to work initiatives and innovations aimed at optimising customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Implement injury management strategies within teams and business units to ensure continuous improvement of return to health and work outcomes.
  • Build capability by coaching and mentoring teams on injury management methodology to reduce claim durations and costs.
  • Understand and adhere to relevant legislative requirements, escalating as necessary.
  • Design and facilitate training sessions to embed strategies, processes, and legislation guidelines.
Key Requirements
  • Significant experience in occupational rehabilitation, claims management, and return to work.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements that impact the organisation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of strategy development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Team-focused approach.
  • Knowledge of psychological conditions and/or mental health qualifications is highly regarded.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
