Key Responsibilities

The Community & Events Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of events, community activations, filming and photography requests, and passenger-focused initiatives at Sydney Airport.

The Corporate Affairs team engages with diverse stakeholders, including employees, media representatives, industry bodies, government agencies, not-for-profit organisations, airport workers, and the local community.

Please note this is a 6-month contract.

About the Role

This role supports the Senior Manager, Community Investment and Partnerships in delivering events and activations engaging Sydney Airport's community, partners, and internal teams.

You will provide operational support for filming and photography requests, stakeholder engagements, and welcome desk activities.

This position contributes to implementing Sydney Airport's Community Investment and Engagement strategy, particularly supporting communities affected by aircraft noise.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a qualification in Event Management or at least three years of relevant experience, with knowledge of airport operations highly valued.

You will bring expertise in event planning, logistics, safety compliance, and vendor and budget management.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential, along with a proactive, calm, and collaborative approach.
