Project Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a major infrastructure package at Sydney Airport.

This is a delivery-focused role that suits someone who thrives on-site, understands the complexities of operating within live airport environments, and is keen to contribute to long-term aviation infrastructure upgrades across both metro and regional locations.

  • Oversee construction and delivery of airside civil works, including runway, taxiway, and apron upgrades
  • Coordinate with contractors, design consultants, airport operations teams and regulatory authorities
  • Monitor progress, safety, quality, and compliance to program and contract specifications
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and interface management within a live airport environment
  • Identify and resolve delivery risks and staging conflicts
  • Contribute to planning and scoping of future regional airport projects

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience delivering airport or airside infrastructure projects, particularly pavement and runway construction
  • Strong understanding of aviation safety and operational constraints
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing contractors and driving project outcomes in complex environments
  • Willingness to travel for short-term regional assignments as new projects emerge
  • Engineering or construction management qualification
  • Previous experience at Sydney Airport or other major Australian airports
  • Familiarity with aviation regulatory and compliance frameworks
