Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our team. As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the internal audit program, managing audit assignments, and presenting findings to the Board and management.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent and objective evaluations of financial and operational activities.
- Assess risk control management and governance processes.
- Perform end-to-end audits, project reviews, and provide advice in accordance with auditing standards.
- Analyse management action plans to ensure risks are controlled.
- Prepare risk-based internal audit plans.
- Facilitate and oversee the implementation of management action plans.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and the Board on audits and business activities.
- Assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Propose recommendations to enhance operational efficiencies and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with business units to develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Evaluate internal control systems against applicable state and federal regulations.
- Participate in audit engagement planning, reporting, scoping, and execution.
- Relevant tertiary and post-graduate qualifications in accounting.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to cultivate positive relationships at all levels.
