**GROUP ROLE**
We are currently searching for a driven and dedicated**Internal Auditor **on a **Full-time** basis to join our close-knit team at Mounties, located in Mount Pritchard.
As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for developing the internal audit program, managing audit assignments, and presenting audit findings to the Board and management of the organisation. Through your strong interpersonal skills, you will play a key role in working with the management teams to identify issues and incidents requiring enhancement and rectification across the organisation.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include:
- Provide independent and objective evaluations of company financial and operational business activities.
- Assess risk control management and governance processes.
- Perform end-to-end audits, project reviews and advice in accordance with auditing requirements and professional internal auditing standards within agreed budgets.
- Analyse management action plan to ensure risks will be controlled.
- Prepare risk-based internal audit plans.
- Facilitate and provide oversight over the implementation of management action plans.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and the Board on audits and business activities, including recommendations to mitigate risk.
- Assess the groups compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Propose recommendations to enhance operational efficiencies and identify areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with business units to develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Evaluate internal control systems against applicable state and federal regulations.
- Participate in audit engagement planning, reporting, scoping, and execution.
- Adhere to all Mounties Group policies and procedures.
- Able to work autonomously and assist where necessary and work to deadlines.
**About You**
- Relevant tertiary and post-graduate qualifications in accounting
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to cultivate positive, trusted, and enduring relationships at all levels and across complex businesses.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Criminal Record Check and relevant checks required for the role.
