Clinical Mental Health Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a Temporary Part Time opportunity, up to 16 hours per week.

The successful applicant will provide targeted clinical intervention to young people aged 13 to 17 years of age experiencing significant mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities

To deliver high-quality psychological and psychosocial assessment for diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the complex mental health needs of consumers.

The successful applicant will also participate in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services, assist in the development and provision of education and training programs, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient care and outcomes.

Requirements
  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with Endorsement in Clinical or Forensic Psychology (or eligibility to progress to same), along with a minimum two year Full Time equivalent APAC accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychosocial and psychometric assessment including cognitive assessment and assessment of psychopathology.
  • Proven ability to deliver evidence-based psychological treatments for people experiencing acute/complex mental health issues on an individual and/or group basis.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt style to suit the target audience.
  • Australian C-Class driver's license required.
