Job Title: Product Specialist

About the Role

This role involves supporting orthopaedic surgeons in planning and executing robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements using advanced technology.

  • As a key member of the surgical team, you will provide technical and clinical guidance to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons and theatre staff to streamline workflows and improve patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and CT-based planning to prepare for complex surgical cases.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology to stay at the forefront of innovation.
  • Provide comprehensive training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Travel throughout Sydney and surrounding areas to support multiple hospital sites.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in clinical sciences, a passion for surgical innovation, and excellent communication skills.

  • Previous experience in orthopaedic clinical support, biomedical science, medical device sales, or operating theatre nursing would be highly valued.
  • A degree in human movement or anatomy, or related field, would be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new technologies.
