Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented individual to play a critical role in identifying and implementing opportunities to improve clinical practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Medical Practitioner with a strong interest in Medical Informatics to join our team. As a Junior Medical Informatics Advisor, you will leverage your previous clinical experience and consulting with colleagues and peers to develop an understanding of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Informatics.
You will provide clinical expertise and advice throughout the project stages, collaborate closely with clinicians to ensure advice reflects broad experience, and advocate for the EMR and Informatics at relevant clinical forums. Driving consensus and making decisions on behalf of represented areas, you will standardize documentation and workflow processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical research requirements, patient-centered care, and compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. You will be responsible for updating or creating relevant policies and procedures related to clinical activities affected by EMR and Informatics introduction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a conduit for the EMR and Informatics program
- Develop an understanding of the EMR and Informatics, particularly in new functionality areas
- Provide clinical expertise and advice throughout project stages
- Collaborate with clinicians to ensure advice reflects broad experience
- Advocate for the EMR and Informatics at relevant clinical forums
- Drive consensus and make decisions on behalf of represented areas
- Standardize documentation and workflow processes
- Support the translation of clinical practice into electronic workflows, features, and functions
Requirements:
- Registered Medical Practitioner
- Interest and/or qualifications in Medical Informatics
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues in a team-based environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
- Well-developed organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Enthusiastic and driven to improve care using process design and technology
- Resilient and flexible approach to work
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
