Collections Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management: Assess customer financial circumstances and identify solutions to restore loans to good standing.
  • Solution Implementation: Implement solutions for customers, including proposed debt agreements, structured payment plans, skip tracing, and bankruptcy petitions.
  • Process Development: Create a collections culture by documenting effective processes to ensure best practice.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of communications, payment arrangements, and actions taken for each account.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with senior management and internal teams.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, including the NCCP Act, Privacy Act, ASIC Regulatory Guides, and AML/KYC requirements.
