Job Opportunity

A dynamic and fast-paced Paralegal role has become available in Adelaide for someone looking to start or build upon their career in a growing Recovery and Restructuring practice on a full-time permanent basis.

In this position, you'll handle and manage a diverse portfolio of files in a dynamic environment where no two days are alike. You'll work closely with lawyers in the team, focusing on compliance and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with lenders on secured and unsecured recovery matters.
  • Work with auto financiers on preparing floor plan funding and security documents.
  • Draft agreements and progress matters through relevant courts.
  • Liaise with ASIC to fulfill lender obligations under the Corporations Act.
  • Manage files from start to finish.
  • Prepare and issue legal documents, including demands, notices, and court documents.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients as the first point of contact.
  • Operate a range of insolvency files, maintaining regular verbal and written correspondence with stakeholders on behalf of secured lenders.

Requirements:

  • Excellent drafting skills and close attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize and handle time-sensitive tasks.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a professional outlook, confident phone manner, and ability to manage sensitive conversations under pressure.
  • Career paralegal experience and asset recoveries experience is desirable.
