Mechanical Bitumen Tanker Specialist

This is a skilled role for maintaining and repairing bitumen tankers ensuring they operate safely efficiently and in line with compliance standards.
You'll be responsible for conducting routine inspections diagnosing mechanical faults and performing preventative maintenance on tank systems including burners pumps valves and hydraulic components.
A key part of the role will involve maintaining the integrity of heating systems that keep bitumen at optimal temperature during transport and unloading.
You'll also be expected to carry out welding and fabrication repairs monitor and calibrate temperature and pressure controls and ensure all work is completed in line with relevant safety environmental and transport compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining reliable safe operation of bitumen tankers used in road construction surfacing projects.
- Conducting routine inspections diagnosing mechanical faults and performing preventative maintenance.
- Carrying out welding fabrication repairs monitoring and calibrating temperature and pressure controls.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical background enjoy working in fast-paced team-oriented environment and meet requirements outlined below.
Requirements- Experience with burner systems and pipework.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Understanding of hazardous materials handling especially hot bitumen.
- Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance.
