Reliable Bitumen Tanker Technician Wanted

We're seeking a skilled professional to maintain and repair bitumen tankers, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work with specialized equipment in road construction operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy collaborating with a supportive team.
About The RoleAs a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:
- Conducting routine inspections to diagnose mechanical faults
- Performing preventative maintenance on tank systems, including burners, pumps, valves, and hydraulic components
- Maintaining the integrity of heating systems that keep bitumen at optimal temperature during transport and unloading
- Carrying out welding and fabrication repairs, monitoring and calibrating temperature and pressure controls
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant safety, environmental, and transport compliance standards
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Mechanical and hydraulic system knowledge
- Experience with burner systems and pipework
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Understanding of hazardous materials handling (especially hot bitumen)
- Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance
