Family Support Specialist

Role Overview: Work with vulnerable children and their families to provide supportive services.
The Family Services program focuses on promoting strong, safe, and healthy family environments. This includes supporting parents and caregivers in creating nurturing home environments.
Along this continuum of support, we offer responsive, flexible, and sustainable services to children and families when they need it most.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver intensive services to children and their families using a Care Team Approach.
- Develop goals, action plans, and safety plans with families through direct work with individuals and groups as needed.
- Collaborate with the service sector, particularly Community Based Child Protection, to ensure comprehensive support.
- Conduct assessments according to guidelines within specified timelines.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Welfare, or other relevant fields are required.
- Demonstrated experience in case management working with vulnerable children and their families is essential.
- Experience working in or with Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Child Protection (or similar) is highly desirable.
