Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to join our Strategic People Partnership Team as a Senior HR Advisor.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and results-driven individual who can leverage their expertise in HR to drive impactful work from day one.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing trusted coaching, insight, and support on various HR matters across our regionally-based team.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, navigate complex awards, agreements, and policies, and provide expert advice on grievances, new team structures, and legislative changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Navigate complex awards, agreements, and policies to guide decisions that balance business needs with fair process.
  • Provide expert advice on grievances, advising on new team structures, and interpreting legislative changes.
  • Ensure our workforce is supported with sound advice and strong HR practices that reflect our values and comply with evolving legislation.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Post-secondary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent demonstrated relevant experience.
  • Experience interpreting legislation, regulations, Awards, and Industrial Agreements together with policy and procedures to provide high-quality and pragmatic HR advice.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and proven ability in developing trusted business relationships at all levels to gain support and influence outcomes.
