As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for elderly residents.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term full-time position that involves working 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will be based at our facility.
Key Responsibilities- We are seeking an individual who can develop, plan, and deliver lifestyle programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for elderly residents.
- The selected candidate will work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff to create personalised programs that cater to individual preferences.
- They will monitor and assess the success of lifestyle programs, making improvements to enhance resident engagement and satisfaction.
- Additionally, they will work closely with healthcare professionals to integrate lifestyle activities with residents' care plans.
- The ideal candidate will oversee the scheduling and organisation of events, ensuring all activities are well-structured and properly resourced.
- Fostering a positive, inclusive community atmosphere, encouraging active participation from residents, is also essential.
- They will maintain detailed records of activities, attendance, and feedback, and provide regular reports to management.
- Finally, the selected candidate will coordinate and support our Volunteer Program to enhance resident experiences.
- A minimum Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent) is required.
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory.
- A Level II First Aid Certificate is also necessary.
- A minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar role within the aged care sector, with a strong understanding of older adults' needs and preferences, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- A creative and proactive approach to developing engaging and meaningful activities is crucial.
- Genuine empathy, patience, and commitment to enhancing the lives of elderly residents are also vital.
- Proof of current COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations is required.
- NDIS clearance is also necessary.
