Support Worker Role

About the Position:

We are seeking Support Workers who possess a strong desire to support individuals with disabilities, promote their wellbeing and enhance their quality of life.

As part of our Active Living Options team, Support Workers will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, fostering meaningful relationships with customers and contributing to their overall growth and development.

Key responsibilities include providing personal care, health and exercise experiences, as well as community outings that cater to individual preferences and interests.

What We Require:

  • Motivated and enthusiastic individuals with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional care and support to our customers
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Home & Community Care/Disability is highly regarded but not essential
  • Previous experience in a support worker role or similar position is highly valued

Staff diversity reflects the diverse range of customers we support, promoting inclusivity and respect for all individuals.

Programs operate from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Thursday, and Friday's 9am to 1pm. School holiday programs, weekend programs, afterschool and camps may be expanded in the future.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Home & Community Care/Disability
  • Previous experience in a support worker position or similar role
