Job Title: Technical Operations Manager

We are seeking a proactive Technical Operations Manager to ensure the efficient delivery of services in a 24/7 telecommunications environment. This role requires managing complex technical issues, delivering high-performance systems, and ensuring seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee, monitor, and support all aspects of the department's technical infrastructure, including servers, networks, and ICT security, providing 2nd and 3rd level support as required.
  2. Provide guidance and support to teammates in improving services, including identifying dependencies, incidents, and constraints, technology and process improvements.
  3. Prioritize team workflow and manage complex and/or escalated issues to ensure ongoing service delivery to users.
  4. Manage and monitor systems and infrastructure for high performance and availability.
  5. Analyze data and statistics for business report development and provide recommendations for continual improvement to service delivery.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to meet the department's business needs.
  7. Create and maintain technical documentation as required.
  8. After hours work may be required for tasks like server OS patching.
  9. Provide support for Microsoft Azure and O365 products.
  10. Strong Azure Cloud knowledge, deployment, and management.
  11. Microsoft Server administration (MCSE desirable).
  12. Practical knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, Intune, and SharePoint.
  13. Practical understanding of LAN, DHCP, and DNS networks.
  14. ITIL Service Management.

Requirements:

  • National Police Check may be required as part of pre-employment screening.

Experience and Skills:

  • Mid-senior level experience in IT operations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and O365 products.
  • Strong Azure Cloud knowledge.
  • Microsoft Server administration skills.
  • Practical knowledge of LAN, DHCP, and DNS networks.
  • ITIL Service Management certification.

Education:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.

Security Clearance:

  • National Police Check required.

The ideal candidate will have mid-senior level experience in IT operations and a strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and O365 products. They will also have a solid understanding of LAN, DHCP, and DNS networks, as well as ITIL Service Management certification.
