Job Description

As a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for performing daily mechanical statutory inspections and carrying out defect repairs in accordance with regulations and industry standards.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential defects and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.
  • Utilize technical expertise to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.

Additionally, you will be required to utilize our client's SAP system to log defects and develop plans for execution and resolution.

Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential to ensure seamless project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar industrial environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out mechanical defect repairs, including work on pumps, alignments, pipework repairs, valve repairs, and fault diagnosis.
  2. Perform daily maintenance tasks and defect resolution as assigned by the client.
  3. Provide assistance during unit forced outages at the Bendella and Kangaroo Valley sites.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications

The following qualifications and skills are mandatory for this role:

  • Mechanical Trade qualifications.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in a similar industrial environment.
  • White Card.
  • Driver's License.
