Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Our organization invites you to consider this key equipment maintenance specialist role in a steel manufacturing plant.

Key responsibilities:

  • Fault diagnosis and repair of equipment;
  • Preventative maintenance activities;
  • Execution of breakdown repairs safely;
  • Planning of mechanical tasks;
  • Data capture in CMMS software;
  • Collaboration with other trade disciplines and operators.

This role is part of a well-structured, supportive team environment. Roles are available with varying shift patterns including four 9.5-hour shifts per week with one Saturday every three weeks, Monday to Friday day shifts, and regular overtime opportunities.

Remuneration package: An attractive hourly rate of $39-$44 plus shift loading for certain rosters, and overtime available.

About the Role

Requirements include:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles;
  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Previous experience in an industrial maintenance setting;
  • A formal qualification in mechanical engineering (minimum Certificate III);
  • Understanding of reliability strategies such as condition monitoring and preventative maintenance;
  • A positive attitude towards safety and leading by example.
