This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in mental health and housing. As a Senior Mental Health Clinician - Mental Health and Housing Liaison Officer, you will provide evidence-based care for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
The role involves delivering assessments, crisis resolution, and treatment for consumers with mental illness. You will also support housing access and tenancy sustainability through expert consultancy.
We are seeking an experienced professional who can develop collaborative, recovery-focused care plans with consumers and carers. Your ability to advocate for consumers by strengthening partnerships with housing and community services will be essential.
As a leader in practice improvement, education, and strategic service development, you will drive innovation and excellence in our team.
- Qualifications: We require a qualification such as CNC 1, Occupational Therapist, Senior Psychologist, or Social Worker with a minimum of 5 years' work experience.
- Registration: Full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist is mandatory.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience and clinical skills working with mentally ill consumers conducting community mental health triage, comprehensive assessments, and risk and safety planning.
- Advanced understanding of housing pathways for people with severe and enduring mental illness and skills in working with partner organisations.
- Highly developed interpersonal communications skills, effective verbal and written communication, and intermediate computer skills.
- Experience and knowledge in acute mental health intervention, early intervention, and CALD issues.
