Demi Chef Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Demi Chef to join our pastry team in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Pastry, assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head of Pastry and Pastry Chef with daily operational duties within the pastry kitchen.
  • Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and confectionery items following recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and other specialized pastry tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Support stock management by monitoring ingredient levels and advising the Head of Pastry of requirements in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation alongside the pastry team.
  • Collaborate with the broader kitchen and food and beverage team to ensure seamless service delivery.

For this role, you should have a trades qualification, previous experience working in a pastry kitchen, a strong passion for pastry arts, and attention to detail in quality and presentation.
