About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Assistant to join our dynamic team.

In this position, you will work closely with the Head of Pastry and Pastry Chef, assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

You will be an integral part of our kitchen operations, contributing to maintaining exceptional standards in taste, texture, and presentation while ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

  • Support the Head of Pastry and Pastry Chef with daily operational duties within the pastry department.
  • Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and confectionery items following established recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and other specialized pastry tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and advising the Head of Pastry of requirements in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation alongside the pastry team.
  • Collaborate with the broader kitchen and food and beverage team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation of pastry ingredients and materials.
  2. Monitor and maintain optimal temperatures and storage conditions for ingredients and equipment.
  3. Participate in cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
