Salary Range: Competitive salary plus 9.5% superannuation
About the Role:
As an Asset Strategy Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Coordinator of Asset Planning in the continuous management of the Council's asset management strategies, systems, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for the Council's Asset Management Information System, ensuring data consistency with established requirements.
- Develop, implement, and sustain asset management processes.
- Update asset registers to include capital works and gifted assets, facilitating annual asset valuations.
- Resource, maintain, and enhance the Council's pavement management system, preparing forward programs for road and kerb renewal, re-sealing, and re-sheeting.
- Assess, prepare, and update asset inventories, conduct condition assessments, and develop financial modelling and asset revaluations.
- Engage with the Asset Planning Team to establish and implement asset management strategies and plans for the Council's infrastructure.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management or related fields such as Engineering, or substantial experience in Asset Management Information Systems.
- Experience and knowledge in Civil Engineering practices, particularly in road construction and maintenance.
- Strong understanding and application of Asset Management principles.
- Significant knowledge and experience in Pavement Management Systems.
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance and Health & Safety standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in computerized accounting systems, spreadsheets, and the Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
