Job Description:

Gardening Specialist Opportunity

This is a fixed term full-time position commencing January 2025, offering a salary of $35,061.79 per annum plus industry allowance and 11.5% superannuation.

As a Gardening Specialist, you will assist in garden and landscaping maintenance across our community while studying and working towards gaining your Certificate III in Horticulture.

  • You will learn horticulture maintenance and plant care, including pest control and the use of required tools and equipment.
  • You will work as part of a team to perform specialized maintenance and construction activities on Council assets and infrastructure.
  • You will participate in the Latrobe City Performance Development Plan (PDP) and assessment process.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Eligibility to undertake a Certificate III in Horticulture.
  • Commitment, initiative, and enthusiasm for the role, including an interest in Horticulture.
  • Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • Able to work productively as a member of a team and contribute to team goals.
