Key Responsibilities:

The Credit Portfolio Manager is a crucial role in supporting the senior leadership team with managing and maintaining our loan portfolios. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing performance reports for portfolio monitoring and management.
  • Undertaking exposure analysis and reporting to identify potential risks, including geographical, borrower group, and industry exposures.
  • Coordinating monthly credit committee meetings, preparing minutes, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Conducting regular quality assurance activities to ensure consistency and accuracy across the portfolio.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Providing training and support to credit staff on new processes and policies.
  • Maintaining relationships with external consultants, ensuring compliance with standing instructions and panel appointments.
  • Overseeing loan covenant and milestone compliance, identifying areas of non-compliance, and escalating to senior management as required.
  • Managing arrears and decisioning reporting to drive timely resolution and compliance.
  • Collaborating with senior leaders on strategic projects to improve credit operations and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial lending or a similar operational role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation and regulations.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with AI and automation tools would be beneficial.
