Inclusive Education Specialist

The Inclusive Education Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving schools towards implementing inclusive practices, underpinned by the Disability Inclusion reform agenda.
Key Responsibilities- Provide coaching support to school leadership and staff to enhance inclusive practices.
- Collaborate with mainstream schools for defined periods to augment their capacity to implement preventative, evidence-based strategies that benefit all students.
- Work closely with Departmental regional team members in a coordinated response to identified needs.
- Demonstrated high-level experience in inclusive education practice, building school staff capability, and developing processes for observation and feedback of teacher practice and peer collaboration.
- Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based intervention strategies for students with disabilities and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Ability to provide expert advice to teaching staff on assessing and monitoring student achievement and learning progress in line with the Victorian curriculum.
- Highly developed communication, networking, and interpersonal skills, including liaising effectively with a wide range of people.
