Northside Christian College is seeking an experienced Inclusive Education Specialist to join its team.

This part-time leadership role will begin in Term 1, focusing on developing and implementing inclusive education practices across Primary and Secondary school settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Inclusive Education in the development, implementation, and oversight of inclusive education strategies.
  • Oversee support for students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, and social-emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to design effective learning plans and interventions.
  • Support compliance with government policies and College guidelines.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to a team of Learning Support staff.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and qualified teacher (VIT registered) with additional qualifications or training in Special or Inclusive Education, and a demonstrated passion for teaching and Christian education.

Requirements
  • A genuine passion for teaching and Christian education.
  • A committed Christian actively involved in a local church, aligned with the College's mission and values.
  • An experienced and qualified teacher (VIT registered) with additional qualifications or training in Special or Inclusive Education.
  • Demonstrated leadership in inclusive education, learning support, or wellbeing, ideally in a school context.
  • Strong knowledge of government policies, individual learning plans, and differentiation.
  • A compassionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • A strategic thinker who can lead change and build capacity in others.
