Job Title: Procurement Administrator – Fit-Out/Refurbishment
Job Description:
A procurement administrator is sought to join a leading fit-out and refurbishment contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, specifically with fit-out and refurbishment projects. The role involves managing all aspects of the subcontract process, negotiating and reviewing subcontract tenders, and preparing accurate payment schedules. The successful candidate will also be responsible for understanding and managing subcontractor contractual risk, processing progress claims and delay claims, and preparing project budgets for review.Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Managing all aspects of the subcontract process
  • Negotiating and reviewing subcontract tenders, including preparation of tender comparisons
  • Preparing, checking and reviewing subcontract packages, scopes, lettings and procurement schedules
  • Monitoring subcontractors to ensure adherence to environmental commitments and responsibilities
  • Preparation of accurate payment schedules
  • Understanding and managing subcontractor contractual risk
  • Processing progress claims, delay claims and external variations according to contractual obligations
  • Preparation of project budgets for review and provide accurate rolling final account forecasts
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or similar
  • Ideally 2 to 3+ years' experience in the construction industry, ideally with a fit-out and refurb contractor
  • Strong financial analysis and administrative focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Construction Safety Induction (white) card
