Lead Climbing Operations Team

As a leader in climbing operations, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality experiences for guests at a premier outdoor adventure site.

The role involves guiding guests on an 90-minute adventure up a 298-step staircase to the summit while ensuring safety and service excellence.

  • Register and process payments and tickets for guests, providing a seamless experience.
  • Interact with guests during climbs, share information about local landmarks, and capture memorable photos.
  • Support a team of Climb Leaders, fostering a positive culture and leading by example.
  • Oversee daily climb operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and exceptional service standards.
  • Conduct ongoing training and performance reviews to enhance team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Transition between Climb and Observation Deck Guest Services roles as needed.
  • Assist the Climb Supervisor and Operations Manager in their absence, taking charge when necessary.
  • Support your team of Climb Leaders in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role is highly advantageous.
  • A solutions-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and company procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to diverse groups and cultures.
  • Confident public speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate people matters with empathy and confidence.
  • Comfortable working at heights in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certification and Queensland Working at Heights Certification or be willing to obtain qualification prior to commencement.
  • Previous experience in a Climb Leader or similar role is advantageous.
  • Flexible with availability across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
