Biomedical Maintenance Specialist

This role is a great opportunity to join our team as a Biomedical Maintenance Specialist. As part of this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for advanced radiation therapy equipment used in the treatment of cancer.

  • Servicing, repairing and maintaining radiation therapy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • Responding promptly to maintain clinical services and ensuring continuity of care.

  • Communicating effectively with medical physics teams, suppliers and service agents to resolve technical issues and maintain relationships.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports to meet regulatory requirements.
About You
  • A Diploma of Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent qualification, or extensive practical experience in the maintenance and repair of complex electro-mechanical systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide clear technical advice and guidance to all stakeholders.

  • Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on radiation oncology equipment, including high-energy x-ray medical linear accelerators and equipment containing radioactive substances. Willingness to undertake necessary training and development.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritise and respond well to changing circumstances.
