About this Role
We are seeking a Biomedical Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for providing biomedical engineering maintenance and repair services to advanced radiation therapy apparatus used in the treatment of cancer.
Main Responsibilities:
- Service, repair and maintain complex electro-mechanical systems, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Respond promptly to service requests, prioritizing tasks to minimize downtime and maximize clinical productivity.
- Maintain effective communication with medical physics and broader clinical teams, as well as equipment suppliers and service agents, to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
- Document all activities, including maintenance records, service reports, and other relevant information, in accordance with established protocols.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma of Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent qualification, along with extensive practical experience or 5 years' experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling clear articulation of technical advice and guidance to various stakeholders.
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on radiation oncology equipment, including high-energy x-ray medical linear accelerators and equipment containing radioactive substances, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills, including multitasking, prioritization, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
